About this event
A biking event to promote bike riding safety inspired by and in memory of our good friend David Baker who was
tragically killed in 2019 when a vehicle struck him while he was riding his bike. David was an avid biker who
participated in many endurance events such as the Zoo-de-Mac, ODRAM (One day ride across Michigan), DALMAC and
the National 24 Hour Challenge. Proceeds from this event will be split and donated to both the Pere Marquette Rail
Trail and the Tri-County Bicycle Association/DALMAC FUND Inc.

The event will take place September 10th, 2022, in Clare, MI. Riders will leave from the North-East parking lot of the
Doherty Hotel and proceed to the Pere Marquette Rail Trail a few blocks to the southeast. From there it is up to each
individual to choose their preferred distance as they set out towards Midland. The rail trail has been chosen for
maximizing safety and flexibility. Some riders may choose only a few miles while others may enjoy the challenge of a 60
mile round trip to Midland and back. In case of severe weather the rain out date will be Sunday September 11th.

You must register by August 20th to receive swag.
Swag bags (shirt, water bottle and koozie) will be available for pick up the morning of the ride from 8am – 11am in the
North-East parking lot. In the interest of flexibility, all riders are free to set out and return on their own schedule. Event
donation is $30 (non-refundable). Family members under 18 are free but must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Swag bags will only be available for adult pre-registered riders.

For those who plan on spending the night or weekend at the Doherty, word is, available reservations are limited. Please
contact the hotel soon to reserve your room.
